Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:
- Navigate the Photoshop Interface: Learn your way around the program set-up, tools, panels, and menus.
- Work with Layers and Selections: Understand the core concept of layers, layer masks, and various selection techniques for non-destructive editing.
- Perform Basic Photo Retouching: Use tools like the Spot Healing Brush, Remove Tool and the Clone Stamp to remove blemishes and unwanted objects from photos. Using AI Tools to improve your images.
- Apply Color and Tonal Adjustments: Utilize adjustment tools and layers (e.g., Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation) to correct lighting and color issues.
- Add Text and Effects: Learn to incorporate text into your images and apply basic layer styles like drop shadows.
- Prepare Images for Output: Understand image resolution, sizing, and file formats for both web and print use.
- The RAW Convertor: How to work with different file types, RAW, JPEG, TIFF, etc.

Notes
- It is best if you have access to Adobe Photoshop software but not necessary for this class because our Classroom Computers have Photoshop on them.
- A flash drive for saving class project files and work.
Prerequisites
Participants should have basic computer skills, including the ability to manage files and folders, and effective mouse skills. No prior experience with Photoshop is required.
