CE - 018 - Creating an Artwork Portfolio and Mounting Exhibit
Course Description
This Art (paintings, drawings, photography or mixed media) portfolio and exhibit class teaches you how to curate, refine, and present a cohesive body of work, developing your unique artistic voice for applications such as clients or galleries. This is a hands-on class incorporating instructor and peer critiques, personalized feedback on image selection, storytelling, and professional presentation. Learn how to organize a polished portfolio ready for display. This workshop will cover technical skills, conceptual development, writing artist statements, and creating website-ready materials. This class will culminate with mounting and displaying two pieces of your art at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville – a real resume boost! (Costs of preparing your piece not included.)
