Course Description

Led by: PEAKS Tech Team

Artificial intelligence is showing up in more parts of daily life—but you don’t need to be a tech expert to understand it or use it. This welcoming, hands-on session is designed for anyone who is curious about AI, whether you are just getting started, already experimenting a little, or still unsure about what to think.

We’ll begin with a simple, plain-language introduction to what AI is, where it is headed, and what it can—and cannot—do. You’ll see real examples of how people are already using AI tools in everyday situations, along with honest discussion about their limits, risks, and “guardrails.”

This session also creates space for all perspectives. Whether you are excited about AI’s possibilities or cautious about its impact, your questions and viewpoints are welcome. Participants will be invited to share their experiences, concerns, and hopes while engaging in guided small-group conversations focused on real-life problem solving and learning together.

Tech team members and instructors will be available throughout the session to support discussion, demonstrate simple examples, and answer questions at each table—no prior experience required.
